Mrs. Riddle's Open House Scavenger Hunt
Want to make your annual parent open house a little more fun and engaging? Try my open house scavenger hunt! Parents and students work together to find the classroom items on the list, all the while interacting with the child's new classroom. A prize is awarded at the end for participants. It is a great tool to engage students and parents alike and frees the teacher up to mingle and answer questions.
**TIP: I make a friendly bulletin board each year with the title "Wel-Gum to First Grade". It displays a huge gumball machine with gumballs that have student's names on them. The prize at the end of the open house is a gumball!
