This is an oral language rubric. It covers learning outcomes for speaking, listening and responding. It can be used for any oral language activity and is a very useful tool for tracking student progress in listening and speaking.
The letters A, B, C, D, F have been used to mark the different levels of progress for simplicity, but as this is a word document they can easily be replaced with the language your school uses to record student progress.
Similarly student learning outcomes and criteria for assessment are included in the rubric, but can easily be changed to your own school/district outcomes and criteria.
We found this assessment tool very helpful in pinpointing students' strengths and weakness and subsequently helping them improve in their specific area of need while praising their accomplishments. We hope you also find it useful.
