This is a one page anticipation guide for the Order of Operations. Students will decide what they believe to betrue/false before the lesson, and then reevaluate their answers at the end of the class. I like this activity because it serves as both an activating strategy and as a summarizing strategy.

I am in my sixth year of teaching. My certification is in Math grades 7-12. I began teaching in an IB/Magnet High School in Rochester, NY where I taught Precalculus, Computer Programming, and Math A. After 2 successful years, my family moved to Florida where we could enjoy the sunshine year round. For the past 4 years, I have been teaching in a suburban High School in Florida. In addition to teaching Geometry, Algebra, and AP Calculus AB, I co-chair the math department. I am currently working on my National Board Certification.
