This 13 slide presentation is teacher tested and designed to hook kids on the lesson. It covers order of operations, PEMDAS, and please excuse my dear aunt sally. I use this in conjuction with my order of operations anticipation guide, also available on teachers pay teachers. There are several examples to work on with your students. I completed this lesson with my remedial algebra kids. They especially liked the slide with the Aunt Petunia Harry Potter. I also have a homeowork from the Glencoe Algebra Series if you are using that collection.

I am in my sixth year of teaching. My certification is in Math grades 7-12. I began teaching in an IB/Magnet High School in Rochester, NY where I taught Precalculus, Computer Programming, and Math A. After 2 successful years, my family moved to Florida where we could enjoy the sunshine year round. For the past 4 years, I have been teaching in a suburban High School in Florida. In addition to teaching Geometry, Algebra, and AP Calculus AB, I co-chair the math department. I am currently working on my National Board Certification.
