My students have problems remembering Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally so I use PURPLE ELEPHANTS MAY DESTROY A SCHOOL.
This powerpoint tells of a day when the students at Math Middle School thought that purple elephants were going to destroy their school.
Their math teacher helped them turn this concern into a help with their order of operations problems. My students remember the story and how the elephants lined up on their arrival. Now they love doing "Purple Elephant" problems and want to allow visitors to see this powerpoint and how purple elephants help with Math.

Love the idea---want to check to see if this is a file that is "read only". You were so helpful with the last round I bought (reworking them so they would work on my Mac)---are these the same type of files?

Memorial Site is being maintained for our aunt who passed away in 2011. She taught for 19 years in rural and urban areas. She created all these projects and posted them to share with other teachers.
