Included are teacher board notes introducing Order of Operations, plus examples. The cover page makes a good poster.
The unit continues with worksheets containing mini-lessons for multiply, divide, add, subtract with practice and a quiz for this first part. (A one page lesson on creating a numerical expression from story problems is included.)
Following the above are lessons on Order of Operations which have exponents and parentheses in numerical expressions - also with mini-lessons and practice worksheets. Two of the worksheets have correct answers that add up to a trivia fact, which puts a little fun into the lesson.
There is a final quiz for all of the above.
In addition to the cover page, I've included my printable half-page Order of Operations reminders to place on student desks or notebooks.
ANSWER KEYS for ALL of the above are INCLUDED.
This unit is classroom tested and works very well.
All numerical expressions - no fractions nor decimals. (I have now added a one page post-quiz review that does have a few expressions with decimals.)
See Preview for more detailed description and printable sample.
