This is a short quiz, not a test, on organic compounds. It consists of 42 fill in the blank questions. I use this to check to see if the students are keeping up with their studying. It is very general and not comprehensive. Some of the answers include the following terms: Organic, Monosaccharides, disaccharides, and polysaccharides, Enzyme, Cellulose (structural polysaccharide), Amino acids, Structural polysaccharides and storage polysaccharides, Fatty acids and glycerol, Carbohydrates, Polymer, Monomers, Peptide bond, Glucose molecules (monosaccharides), Proteins, carbohydrates, lipids and nucleic acids, Phospholipids, Sugars, starches, and cellulose, Disaccharide, Starch, Fats, oils, waxes, Glycogen, Denaturation, Chitin, Nucleotides (composed of sugar, phosphate and nitrogen base).
This document can be used as a short quiz, as a homework assignment or as test review. It is a document that is ready to be copied and passed out to your students. You will receive both an editable Word document as well as a pdf form of the lab.
