As a teacher we all know how crazy it can get if our students forget something at home or in school. This organizer is great for students with disabilities because it's a visual tool. This tool can help a student with disabilities become organized without your help. You can also use this if you're a general education teacher for your students to become better organized. Print out the organizer and cards on card stock or color paper. Laminate the organizer card and add Velcro to the 7 boxes and the 2 strips underneath. Laminate the item cards and put the rest of the Velcro on the back of them. Use a dry erase marker to write the day of the week on the " In my school bag on_________" sentence. This will save you from having to print this 5 times for the days of the week. The item cards get attached to the 2 strips underneath the 7 boxes so it is at easy reach for your students. You can fit either 6 or 7 cards on each strip depending how close you put them. The cards that are chosen for their backpack are placed in the 7 boxes above the 2 strips. Not all boxes will be filled everyday. I included a few blank boxes for you to add your own items for your student's backpacks. Enjoy!
