This lesson is on parts of a book - primarily geared toward non-fiction and informational text.The first page is an interactive in which you can click on the book and new terms will pop up. This is a good way to "kick-start" the lesson. I have used this lesson in various ways with grades 3-5. The lesson has instruction and hands-on activities for the students. Also, the lesson offers many ways for you to determine if your students are really learning and using the parts of the text. This lesson is very comprehensive and will make using informational text very attainable for your students.
