If you have a Mac and are trying to transition from Appleworks to their new PAGES program, this cheat sheet may help you learn a few tricks and shortcuts. (Everything I have posted on Teachers Pay Teachers has been made in PAGES, with the exception of a few Power Points.) PAGES really allows you to be creative and has made combining text, shapes, and clipart very simple, unlike Word which has a tendency to shift the graphic pieces of your project into unexpected places.
This cheat sheet does not explain word-processing because those documents are pretty straight-forward, whether in Word or Pages. Instead, this sheet takes you to the "Page Layout" section of Pages where you'll choose "BLANK" to begin a new, fun project for your classroom! Have fun playing around!! :)
(Remember to use your "HELP" drop-down menu on your top menu bar whenever you have a question about the program you're in. It's designed to answer even your trickiest questions and will usually even anticipate the question you're trying to ask. I've never asked it a question it couldn't answer for me.)
