In my freshmen class we start the year with The Odyssey. Students really struggle with writing, so we start the year by just revising writing QUALITY paragraphs. The particular school that I work at has a universal format that really forces the kids to write with organization. In this paragraph the students have to describe obstacles teenagers or adults may face today and how this relates to the story of the Lotus Eaters
