This PowerPoint is clear and easy to understand. I love the first slide especially when it says, that "the part of speech is the job of the word" in the sentence; this clarifies purpose. I appreciate the eye catching clip art and I think that it says so simply and purposely the "job" of a word in a sentence is its part of speech. I have used this in a GED class and an elementary class. Thanks Chrissy. You are the best.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught elementary school for nine years. I spent eight years in fourth grade, and this is my first year in third! I'm a past president of the El Paso Reading Council, the local branch of the International Reading Association, and I'm also a Teacher-Consultant for the West Texas Writing Project, the local site of the National Writing Project. I love to teach all contents, but my heart is in literacy!
