These same 24 cards are also included with labels.
The pictures used are real-life pictures. I use these cards during our science unit, "Parts of a Plant."
Print, laminate and cut out the cards for durability.
Some ideas for using these cards include:
-As an introduction to the unit. Mix up the cards, pass one card out to each student and tell them to sort themselves. After they sort themselves, we sit together on the rug and have a discussion about why they sorted themselves in that way.
-They can be put into the Science Center. I've also included "Root" "Stem" "Flower" and "Leaf" signs for them to sort them under. After they are sorted, students can fill in the recording sheet.
The cards can be used in a variety of ways depending on the level and needs of your students. My kids love looking at the real pictures!

I was wondering if you have a power point or flip chart on the parts of a plant? I bought your cards and love them!!
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoy them! No, right now I do not have a PowerPoint covering this subject but it's on my list of "Things to Do" lol! I'm not sure exactly what you mean by a flip chart...can you explain it more?

Hi. I just purchase this file and one of your stem photos is not quite in place. Would you be able to tweak that photo? Thanks!
