In this 6-page science lesson, students explore the world of plants and the parts of a plant; their names (leaf, stem, root, flower, fruit, and seed), functions and examples of plant-parts which are used as food by man. Included are labeled pictures of plant parts and fruits, vegetables, etc, class poster, class note and word cards for a matching activity. This lesson is also ideal for agricultural science as it allows students to realize that parts of plants are very important to not only the plant, but to us because we eat them as different types of produce.
