* Give student individual white boards. Then have teacher hold up a card and ask what is 3 more/less than this card and students write the answer.
*Show two cards and ask for the sum of the two
*Show a card and ask how many more to equal ten
*These cards support Singapore Math

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have 12 years of experience in education. I taught high school English for 5 years (4 in SoCal and 1 at Colegio de Americano de Guatemala in Guatemala City). Upon returning to the States (following getting married and moving to Ohio) I was a teacher-leader at an alternative high school for a year. Then I took a job as a School Improvement Coach/Consultant in reading and math with the Ohio Department of Educations Region 10 State Support Team. I work with the R10 SST for 5 years in elementary, middle and high schools. My work with the SST was mostly data, curriculum development and "teaching" teachers based. Due to funding cuts my department with the SST was cut. Currently I work part-time as a math coach/consultant with an elementary school. I love curriculum development and brainstorming with teachers on engaging ways to teach students.
