In this packet, you will find peanut butter and jelly themed activities.
Our Favorite PB&J Sandwich Graph: The students will survey each other for their favorite sandwich. They will create a tally chart, create a graph from the data, and analyze the results of the data.
PB&J Adjectives: Teach a mini-lesson on adjectives and have the students come up with adjectives to describe crust/bread, jelly, and peanut butter. This would be a good time to practice using the thesaurus as well.
How to Make a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich Writing Activity: Have the students write a how-to piece to explain to someone how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. As a class make a PB&J sandwich, have the kids make their own, and then have the students use the organizer to help guide their how-to piece. Depending on the age of your students, you might want to write the piece together on chart paper.
Peanut Butter & Jelly Daily Fix-Its: Your students can practice grammatical skills using the Daily Fix-It sentences. Some of the skills practiced with these are capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.
I hope you enjoy this freebie! Please leave feedback and a rating. I would love to hear from you!
I wish I could give a higher grade for creativity! This is adorable, the kids will love it and it is going to be very useful. I am going to use it as activities for my emergency sub plans. Since my kiddos are 4th the level is perfect for review! Thanks! Please, make more of these theme packets!
Thank you SO much for your kind words! I am so glad that you found something you can use with your students.

Hi Nicole!
Thank you so much for your activity! I can not wait to use it with my class!
I just wanted to let you know about a typo in the packet: on page 4 question 6 it has a question mark instead of a period.....but, thank you so much for the freebie! I love it!
Thanks again! :) :) :)
This is my first download from you and I'm glad I found it. So cute and even my kinders can use the bubble maps, graph and writing pages. Thank you! :)
Nicole,
I love how you took this typical "How To" and expanded it to include other areas of learning. Very creative while still addressing some key areas of instruction that get tested. Thanks for sharing!!!

Hi there!
I JUST found you today, and I already have a TON of things that I want to buy!! I'm scared of how much money I'm going to spend! :)
I LOVE the peanut butter and jelly unit and I'm going to start implementing it on Thursday. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind correcting a mistake. On the "Fix It Up" section, the card about George Washington Carver says there are 3 errors when there are 4. (Unless I'm missing something, which wouldn't be the first time!)
Thanks so much for your wonderful products!!

Thank you so much for your sweet comments! :) I appreciate you sending me a message about the mistake. I have corrected it and the file is ready for you to download again. I hope that it is useful in your classroom. :)
I am currently working on a Christmas freebie that I am super excited about! I plan to have it posted today or tomorrow. I hope it is something that you will be able to use during the month of December.
Hi Nicole,
I am presenting at a conference and sharing with teachers how to use read and respond sheets in their reading lessons. I am using Teacher pay Teacher as a resource to find great material created by other teaches and found your Reading and Responding sheets. I would like to promote your item in my presentation. Would that be alright? I know this isn't the best way to ask. I hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks,

Yes, that would be perfectly fine and greatly appreciated if you promote my item during your presentation. I am so excited that you are sharing TpT with others. It is just a wonderful resource!
Thanks so much for asking! :)

Hi Nicole!
I love your downloads! I purchased your rockin' sound unit and I am having trouble locating:
A First Look at Sound - the Discovery Education video on their website....could you guide me as to where to find it?
Do you have access to Discovery Education (United Streaming)? If so, if you log in, this is the web address: http://player.discoveryeducation.com/index.cfm?guidAssetId=4477f10d-7862-4c30-aa8d-598370f0770c
I am starting my tenth year of teaching. During that time I have taught 4th and 5th grades. I am currently teaching 4th grade. I absolutely love teaching! I have the best job in the world!
