Students enjoy corresponding with pen pals around the world by writing pen pal letters. Use the following four sheets to encourage letter writing: directions, brainstorm for letter, friendly letter format, and pen pal letter analysis (analyze dialect, tone, and have students write comments and questions about what their pen pal writes to them). What a fun way to bring students beyond the classroom!
