Sorting and graphing are important early math skills; use students' interest and excitement about penguins to get them engaged in fun, graphing practice!!
This file has 4 graphing papers; on the first 2, the objects are already sorted and students must count and graph. On the last 2, students must first sort the objects before completing the graph.
These can be used as a progression, with all students doing all 4 pages; they can also be used as a differentiated learning opportunity, with some students completing the easier graphs, while others complete the more challenging ones. This activity would also make a great math center or math station.
