Do you have an example of everything you put into the book that they make? It shows some examples with a few pictures. Just wondering what has worked best for you!

Do you offer the math and literacy units separate? I am a library media specialist and would love to use this in the classroom. However, I would not use the math. I don't know how much in the unit is math as it is expensive. Thank you for your time!

There are a ton of clipart artists on TPT. If you put clip art in the search box you will be amazed at the number of resources that pop up. :)

Hi Deanna!
I love, love, love your blog and your tpt store. You have such great ideas. I Used your grinch mini unit last year, and my first graders absolutely loved it. I changed classrooms, and I'm not sure where the materials for that unit ended up, and I really want to do this again with my students this yeear, but I can't seem to find that unit anywhere. Is there any way that you could bring that one back? Pretty Please :)

Seuss Enterprises said that teachers could not create materials to go with their books so I removed the unit. So SAD! :( I would love to be able to share the unit with you but I have to respect their order even if I don't agree with it!

Hi Deanna!
I purchased a few of your units last month, and I just finished using the Penguin unit. It is awesome! My school is really focused right now on Thinking Maps so I appreciate you including them in your products. I am going to use The America unit next week. I can't wait.
Since I am new to all of this, would you mind telling me if there is a trick to providing feedback. I clicked on the words "provide feedback" next to the "penguin" unit button but it does not take me to a place where I can enter my comments. Am I missing something?
Thanks again for all of your hard work...Michelle

Hi There, This is an easy fix. :)I'm copying and pasting this from my friend, Kim Adsit. Her husband is a computer genius so follow his advice and it will fix your problem. :)
1. Make sure you are using an up to date version of Acrobat Reader.
You can check the version by clicking Help then About from within
reader. If you have a version earlier than 5.0 or 6.0, you should
update your reader.
2. If you have a Mac, you may be opening it with a Mac program
called "Preview" and not even know it. Preview has documented problems
opening modern Adobe files. If you have a Mac, try opening Adobe
Reader first (rather than just clicking on the file), then open the
file within Adobe Reader. You may also choose to set the default
reader to Adobe Reader by following the instructions here.
To change the default reader on a Mac to Adobe:

----------------------------------------------

Click on the icon of a PDF file type then choose File --> Get Info
You will see a dialog box labeled something like this "sample.pdf" Info
Near the bottom, you will see a section titled "Open With:"
That indicates what application on you Mac is the default.
Click on the pop-up to bring up the list of possible applications
and select Adobe Reader (whatever version is installed), then click
"Change All" to make it the default application for all .pdf files.
The OS will then ask you if you are sure, click "Continue."
Now the Mac will use Reader instead of Preview

Hi! I had a question about the blubber glove. Should you make it that day or can you make it the night before? I want to make it at home and then bring to school to use that morning, but I wasn't sure if it would be ok over night. Thanks so much. I love all of your stuff. My kids are learning so much!

I'm a home school teacher. This is my first year to have 2 - a Kindergartener and a 2nd grader - plus a preschooler. Wondering if it might be easier to do unit studies with them than what we've been doing. How long do you spend on a unit? This looks like it would be great for us to start with, because my kids already love penguins!

Mrs. Jump,
For some odd reason when I try to print your penguin unit, it is printing with all symbols instead of words. I have purchased several other units from you and I have not had any problems. I am wasting my colored ink trying to get to the bottom of this issue so I am hoping you might be able to provide some insight.
Thank you- Rebecca

Hi There, once you buy a unit from TPT you can download and print it as many times as you need to. Just go to your MY PURCHASES tab at the top of the page and click on it. Find the unit you need and click on it to download it again. Hope that helps! Deanna

The penguin glyph pages are at the end of the unit. When you are ready to print them you just select those page numbers to print.

Hi Deanna,

I love the penguin unit! I was wondering if you knew the dimensions you used to make that awesome penguin anchor chart.

Thanks,

Hi,

I teach 2nd grade and want to do a penguin unit. Do you think your penguin unit will be appropriate?

Thanks,

Yes. The only think that would be a little bit too easy for them is the penguin literacy center. :)

Hi,
Is there anyway I can get these in a word document. I teach in literacy in Spanish and would love this to translate for a unit? I will gladly pay just its double the work to recreate all the pretty stuff on it. :-) lpinon@bsd2.org
