Persuasive Writing Assignment based on the movie Finding Nemo. Includes specific scenario and instructions for students. Also uploaded to my files is a fishbowl outline - this can be used to create a final copy of the writing.
My kids loved this activity. For their final copy, I had them write it on a paper plate and cut off just the very top so it looked like a fish bowl. Then they decorated it to look like a fish bowl with Nemo (or the fish they chose)
i too wish there had been a fishbowl too but we made our own :) thanks!

Looking forward to using with our unit. Wish fishbowl had been included to make project complete.

It was a good idea, but needed more specifics. Disappointed that fishbowl was another purchase.

I love this concept. My students are obsessed with all things Nemo and this is great way to make their writing fun. It did feel like there were some helpful tools missing. A link to this part of the video and the paper you mention would be nice additions.
My third-graders began writing their persuasive letters to the dentist this week and are loving it. They are gluing their final copies to a self-made fish tank. This has been a fun activity for them.

I just purchased your Nemo writing prompt. Cute idea! I was able to download the prompt, but did not get the fishbowl page. Is that a separate download? Thanks!
It is uploaded as a separate download. You can probably find one online though.

HI,
Very cute writing assignment! 2 things- my students noticed that the picture is of Nemo's Dad, Marlin, FYI. And where do I find the fishbowl?
Thanks,
Nancy
