This is a persuasive writing lesson activity that can be used as a packet or the pages can be cut in half to make a mini book. The lesson activity uses an Oreo cookie to help kids remember the parts to a basic persuasive paragraph. The steps in the booklet help the students choose a topic, formulate an opinion, give evidence or elaboration, as well as write a final paragraph. Plus, each student will get to eat their oreo once their persuasive writing is complete.
What a great idea to use the Orea biscuit. This just adds a different way of connecting the children to persuasive text writing. My gr 3 children struggle with giving evidence so this way they can make the follow the steps easily.

I used this a couple of weeks ago. It was a nice way to intro persuasive writing. It gave the children a template to get started...we did add many more details to our paragraphs, though, and it would be nice to have that option in this. Overall, I loved it!
The assignment is concise and clearly written. It provides the necessary scaffolding so that students are successful. I am going back to see what else seller has to offer. TY

Hey Molly!
Disregard my question - I got it to download. Have a nice day!
I have bought this item and downloaded it, but when I try to open it on the computer, it shows up as a blank page. So, I went into my account to re-download it and again, it is showing up as a blank page. Unfortunately, I had only printed out one copy, made photocopies for the kids and then wrote all over my original, thinking I could just reprint it. Now I can't. Any suggestions?
hi.... Honestly, I have no idea about computer compatibility. The files are adobe files, so I don't know how that works with apple. I am sorry I can't help you more. If you email this address, they can tell you more about the technical stuff. info@teacherspayteachers.com
