This is a lesson for persuasive writing that uses William & Mary's Hamburger Model. I took Lesson 10 from the Beyond Words unit and created it into an interactive SmartBoard lesson for students. Students will move objects, erase to reveal, underline sentences, and learn how this powerful graphic organizer can help them write powerful persuasive pieces!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently a Talent Development Teacher for my district. I work to accelerate and challenge gifted students in grades K-5. Through close relationships and careful planning and collaboration with their classroom teachers, I am able to effectively meet the needs of these high ability learners. Before taking on this unique role, I taught 3rd grade for four and a half years. Immediately after graduating college, I spent nearly two years working with special needs students.
