This was created as a center activity. The cards have VCCV words that the children need to match. I cut out the cards and laminate them. I make copies of the worksheet that goes with it. I then put all the cards into a sandwich bag and place it at the center. The children use the worksheet and the cards, sort them and the write the answers on the sheet. It can also be used as a take home activity in a literacy bag or as a game for early finishers.
*Quick tip to avoid mixing the pieces: before laminating the sheets with the words on them I choose different colored pencils/markers and I draw several lines down the back of the pages. This way if the pieces get mixed up the children can easily sort them back into their correct bags by color.
