This activity is a fun way for students to discover PI. Most students can tell you that PI is 3.1415926...but, how many can tell you HOW you can determine PI?
This activity has the students discover PI in a fun and physical way. There is a worksheet and extension activity, as well as answer key, included.

When I teach this lesson, I often start the class off by reading Sir Cumference and the First Round Table. However, that book is long, so if you don't have block scheduling, I suggest skip the book and get right into the activity. Save the book for another day!
