They made it!! Have your students write about their favorite part of the year. My students usually share ideas like the field trips we went on, what they played at recess and so on. Sometimes they'll say their teacher ;) Sometimes...haha!
Templates and writing prompts for Kinder-3rd grade. You can also do this craft without the writing piece.
Loved this activity! We used the cakes as the decoration on the outside of our Kindergarten End Of Year folders. Had the students color their own icing. Turned out super cute, and had lots of compliments from other teachers and parents. Thanks!

I was very pleased with this activity, it was easy to prepare and the students really enjoyed it! I did it in two steps with them, first making their cake, and then the actual writing. This is definitely something I will use in years to come!
My kindergarteners just did this the last week of school. I'm excited to have some work to display for our Open House before school. Parents will get to see the quality of work which students leaving kindergarten produced. Thanks so much for this colorful and cute activity.
DeAnne you are too good to me!!! Hope your kiddos enjoy it!

This is sooooo sweet!!!! I am going to have the kids do the writing and make the cake. These will be in their memory books and I will have the kids present them on the last day and then we will all have cake!!!! Thank you very much!
I put these up for our school's dedication this week. Everyone from parents to school board members commented on how they loved it. I even pause and look@ it when I walk out of my room. It was easy and cute and I loved the writing element of it. Thank you thank you!
