This is a worksheet to be completed by students after reading Amy Axelrod's 'Pigs Will Be Pigs: Fun with Math and Money.' Student will perform tasks based on information from the book. First, students must add up how much money the Pig family found. Next, Student will determine how much money the Pig family spent at the restaurant, as well as how much was left over. Finally, students will use the menu in the book to create a new dinner order for the pig family and determine a new total for their order.
My students enjoyed coloring the amounts of money found throughout the book during our read-aloud. This worksheet corresponded perfectly with out "Counting Money" lesson.
