Great to use with Exploration!!! This 20 question handout was created as a before and during viewing guide for the Disney movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (PG-13). Half of the questions are to be answered before the students view the movie (questions are marked before or after). These questions require the students to research (on their own time, probably using the internet) Ponce de Leon, The Fountain of Youth, Pirates vs. Privateers, etc... The other half of the questions guide the students through the viewing of the movie. I chose to go over the "before" answers as a class prior to watching the movie. This provided us with good teaching/learning moments. A few of the questions require students to circle places on the included maps.
A key is included, as is a "notes to the teacher" page.

This is a great way to teach history through film. I especially like that you asked how historically accurate the film is as most people don't stop to think about that or know enough history to know if it's historically accurate.
