This activity makes for an excellent literacy station/center! Students create a pizza slice by writing story elements on the pizza toppings.
Includes:
-Pizza Menu (tells which piece holds which story element, color code)
-Sample Slice (a colored version to use as a guide)
-Template of pizza slice
-Template of pizza toppings
There are two variations to this activity.
The first templates center around the following story elements: title, author, illustrator, characters, setting (and asks for a sentence about the main idea on the back)
The second set of templates include the story elements of: title, author, illustrator, author's purpose, problem, solution, main idea (and asks for sentences comparing and contrasting the characters of the story on the back)
Thank you! This will make a great center! We've used the idea of creating a reading pizza when discussing how reader's are thinker's so this will be a great way to build on that lesson.
