This is another great activity to combine math and word work!
I pair this sheet with a baggie of place value blocks in ones, tens & hundreds to have students determine the worth of each word.
On the bottom of this page, they are also asked to order the words from least to greatest, which word is worth the most, least and more.
The second page is a simple recording sheet for up to five words. I print out several of these on cardstock and laminate. Kids use dry erase markers to record their words and that way I can reuse the sheets for the whole year.
This is a great activity to ensure your students are practicing their place value skills throughout the year, while also working on spelling words.
I LOVE this idea. The directions are clear, and I love that the activity combines fun spelling practice with math concepts. I can't wait to use it with my students.

Great way to work on expanded form of numbers while hitting spelling! I use it for HW instead of a station in class! LOVE IT!

I have been teaching for the past eight years, the majority of which have been in 3rd grade. It was my favorite grade as a student and my favorite grade as a teacher :) I have also taught 2nd and 5th in both the city and now the 'burbs.
