This 20 page plant structures pack includes the materials needed to teach about the names of the 4 main plant structures (flower, leaves, stem and roots) and the functions of each of these structures. The pack includes:
-A full color cover to be attached to a gallon sized baggie or manila folder containing unit materials.
-An overview of the materials with suggestions about how to use each in the classroom.
- A photograph of a plant structures anchor chart
- A student diagram to correspond to the anchor chart or to be used for assessment.
- 3 sets of plant part cards. Each set of 4 cards corresponds to the 4 main plant structures. One set includes pictures, one set includes the words and one set includes the function of each structure.
- The cover for a student flip book (students will complete the inside with names and functions of structures.
- Stencils to create a plant structures craft with a photograph of a completed activity for reference.
- 3 different plant outlines to be used as a clay station.
- "Celery Lab" including a 2 page handout that will guide the class through the lab (answer sheet included. The lab is based on the scientific method format. Additionally, there is a one page fill in the blank lab report (answer sheet included).

Teaching in an Integrated Co-Teach at the 4th Grade Level for the past 4 years has allowed me to experience now only 4th grade level skills and curriculum but to also look back to 3rd, 2nd and even 1st grade in order to meet my students at their current academic levels!
