In this activity, the students are given Play-Doh and asked to make an animal that either hibernates or migrates. The students will be expected to define each of the scientific terms. Once they've made their animal out of Play-doh, the students then have a writing prompt that they must follow. What an excellent way to incorporate science, writing, and vocabulary instruction, all into one lesson!

I was very dissapointed in this activity. I feel $2.00 was way too much for the information given. It should also be changed to target second through fourth as this is not simple enough for first grade.
