This is a hands-on activity for the story Rikki Tikki Tavi. After learning that the plot is the sequence of events, and having been introduced to a plot diagram with the exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution, have your students work in small groups to cut and paste this list of events from the story onto their own plot diagram and label what part of the story they belong to. A blank plot diagram is also available separately.

My students really enjoyed the cutting and pasting, and they had fun trying to put the events in order. There was some discussion over which event was the climax. Students put these on a large blank plot diagram and then decorated them. They hang in the hall outside our room. Nice activity.

This one sheet wonder has little to offer to the teacher or to the students. If I had seen the content before I bought it, I would not have purchased it. I was extremely disappointed.

I have a total of 20 years teaching experience. After I received my M.Ed. from the University of Florida, I began teaching in elementary school, where I taught pull-out remedial classes for grades 2-5 and a section of K-1. Then I taught Pre-K for 5 years, before I decided to go up to Middle School, where I have been in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I am currently teaching 7th grade. I am certified in Elementary Education as well as in Middle Grades in the areas of Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I am certified as a Teacher Support Specialist. I have an endorsement in Reading K-12, and I also completed my Gifted and Talented Endorsement.
