Math Centers: 7 Centers & 20 Story Problem Prompts

Love Bug Facts: Students will practice their addition, subtraction, and ten frame skills by matching the three different cards to the correct values {7-12}. Matching recording sheet provided.

Loveable Numbers: Students will practice creating a number three different ways by matching bas-ten blocks to its number word, expanded notation, and tens/ones. Matching recording sheet provided.

Sweet Spin: Students will practice their graphing skills & graphing skills in this center. They will then also interpret the data using the data sheet which requires them to answer questions and create addition sentences using certain values of their graph. Matching recording sheet provided.

Love Filled Partner Houses: Students will create partner houses using this hands on activity using a ten frame + manipulatives. Matching recording sheet provided.

Sweet Addition: Students will practice counting on by figuring out which addend is missing in the addition sentence. Matching recording sheet provided.

Teddy Bear Addition: Similar to the, "Sweet Addition" game, but has totals in the teens for higher level students. Matching recording sheet provided.

Wagon Full of Hearts: Students will practice their subtraction facts by figuring out which number is missing to create the subtraction sentence. Matching recording sheet provided.

Story Problems: 20 Valentine themed story problems made for easy copying/cutting for math journals.


Literacy Centers: 6 Centers

Be Mine: Students will practice sorting nouns, verbs, and adjectives. Matching recording sheet provided. An extension sheet is provided which requires students to write a complete sentence using one word from each list.

Keys To My Heart: Students will practice rhyming words.

Owl Always Be Your Friend: Students will determine if a word contains a short vowel or a long vowel. Matching recording sheet provided. An extension sheet is provided which requires students to write a complete sentence using one word from each list.

Valentine Letters: Students will sort long /e/ words containing the patterns /ee/ or /ea/. Matching recording sheet provided.

Toad-ally Syllables: Students will practice syllables by reading Valentine themed words out loud, clapping, and sorting to the correct lily pad. Matching recording sheet is provided.

Truck Load Of Contractions: Students will practice creating contractions by matching the truck {two words} to the heart {contraction}. Matching recording sheet provided.
