Tiffany Nicely created this math activity for counting change less than a dollar. Students begin with a specific amount of money (less than a dollar) in their "Start" Pocket. Their pocket money is used to purchase a toy with a value less than a dollar. They must count their change and determine how much money will be going back to their "End" pocket after the toy is purchased. The use of manipulative play money with this activity is encouraged.
