This is a collection of poems and activities for primary students. There are a total of 38 poems separated into months. I do a poem a week with my students. We practice the poem in class during the week, then take the poem with the included activity for homework. My students have a Poetry Folder where we keep all their poems. This way the students can practice reading them at home every week. I have found this to be an excellent source for reading practice. The students learn that poetry is read differently than books and enjoy sharing the folders with their families.
