This is a year-long poetry project for your classroom. We work on them once a week throughout the year. I use the anthologies to teach poetry, inferences, figurative language, and more.
This is a study of poetry where students study published poems for three sections and then create their own poems for the fourth section. The anthologies are broken into four sections:

Poem Connections

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught third grade in Indiana for eight fabulous years. Reading and writing are my favorite subjects, but I love creating hands-on math lessons too. I strive to inspire my students to become critical thinkers and lifelong learners. Teaching is so much fun!
