This is a year-long word work center in my room!
Just display a poem of your choice and one of the activity cards and you have an easy to use, meaningful center that you can mix and match in endless combinations! Choose more than one activity card for differentiation or enrichment.
Fifteen cards practice the skills of: nouns, verbs, adjectives, suffixes, prefixes, compounds, L blends, R blends, digraphs, rhymes, contractions, past tense verbs, handwriting, response to poetry, and imagery.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I've been teaching for 17 years. I started out as a 5th grade drop-out prevention teacher and I am currently teaching 2nd grade gifted students. In between, I also taught 3rd and 4th grade, was the Drop-out prevention resource specialist, and taught writing as a special. I value each of my different experiences so much because they have really given me a unique perspective of the needs of so many different teachers and students.
