Encourage your students to play with words! The teacher supplies a reading text from a newspaper, magazine, or novel. Students must find and copy words and phrases within the passage that they simply like or find interesting. Students cut out these snippets of language, rearrange them, and then copy them onto a fresh piece of paper as a poem. This activity can be done in a regular classroom, ESL, or in any foreign language. The download itself is a one-page worksheet to be used with any text that the teacher provides. Directions are in English.
