This freebie goes along with my Magic of Poetry booklet. When I teach my month-long unit, we do a lot of poetry reading, poet studies and of course, we practice writing poetry.
At the end of the unit, my students are required to hand in a poetry portfolio. This portfolio contains a title page, table of contents and a minimum of 8 poems (one each of the poetry forms we studied formally.) Students also have the option to write an introduction, add other poems or add poet studies to their portfolio.
In this Word document you will find my instructions to my students for creating their poetry portfolio, including instructions for how to create a table of contents, as well as a rubric with which their poetry portfolio will be marked.

When you try to print, what is happening? Is the print function greyed out? If you email me mccombm@mymts.net I can send you a PDF file. Maybe that will work better for you?
Do you have examples of the poems you have listed? I would love to see them if you do so that I can have an example of how to do some of them with my class.
If you check my store you will see a couple of freebies with instructions for how I teach the kids to write the poems, and I have my whole booklet The Magic of Poetry available to purchase with instructions for 23 different types of poems. I have also just added 5 mini-books to my TPT store. They each feature 5 of the types of poetry from my full booklet.
Hope that helps!
