How do you assess your students when they write poetry? It's hard, right? It's like grading artwork... not easy!

Well, here's a guide to help you assess their own original work and their thinking about published poems. These Guidelines are for a capstone project that will nicely wrap up a poetry unit of study in your elementary school classroom. (It's a lot of work, but it definitely shows off what the kids know about poetry!)
