This poetry unit includes 7 different types of poems, what they are, examples, places to find some examples, posters to hang as references for the students, as well as practice and publishing pages for each type of poem. I include a page on how to use the unit and how I have seen it work best for me! The posters are wonderful as they share the type of poem, what it looks like, and an example. Hang them on a wall or make them into a booklet to have all year long!

As you can see, I have also used this unit as an extracurricular club before school, so it also includes examples for notes to send home. You could add your own editing process to this unit as well because it is so adaptable!

This unit was great fun for my class! I did not do every poem type, as our weekly schedule didn't allow for that. A possible change could be to take the DAY 1, 2, etc. titles off so that there is a little more flexibility in use. Over all, this was easy to use, high quality and very thorough! Thank you!!!

This is great! If you are interested in updating this product, I would suggest including either an editable letter home, or a fill-in-the-blank letter, form, etc. so that other teachers don't have to retype the information.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
