Poetry Workshop
This is a useful and fun poetry workshop which takes about a week in all. I have used it with upper elementary school grades, junior high, and even a freshmen class with equal success. It presents mini lessons where students are familiarized with the various forms of poetry such as,
1) Limerick
2) Haiku
3) Concrete Visual (Shape) Poems
4) Acrostic Poems
5) Haiku
6) Art and Imagery Poems
7) Cloze Poems
8) Diamante
And more. In all there are ten types of poetry presented. I usually use these eight, however. The kids learn about each type of poetry and then write their own poems. After students have understood each form and written their poems, they make their own poetry books. They can add their own poems to this. Its great fun and my kids love it. It's the only project that the kids ask to have back. It is a very good end of the year project for those day-dreamy spring days when we are getting ready for summer break.
I have also included power point presentations on,

Wow, that is a whopper! I think that you are more than a bit harsh here. I offered a lot of resources which you can pick and choose from. I made a power point which took a very long time to do and used limericks, some from the lnternet and others from my head. It was a joke (I stole from the Internet). Anyway, the whole packet I came up with myself and it gives you variety and a lot of fun activities. By the way, are you having a bad day?
I think that you are totally off the wall with this and unfair. Have you looked at the whole packet? I will be happy to give you a refund or another product, if you don't use the packet. Thanks
