Students practice writing in 3 points of view (first person, third person limited, & third person omniscient) after completing an SWBS Chart on characters in the story. S (Somebody), W (Wanted), B (But), S (So) is a strategy to help students understand characters and their conflicts/resolutions. For example, (S)Cinderella, (W)wanted to go to the ball, (B)but her evil stepmother forced her to stay home, (S)so her fairy godmother used magic to help her.
