If you have a polka dot themed classroom, this is the item for you!
I use beanie babies to help students learn and use reading strategies. This set includes 15 posters containing a clip art of the beanie baby animal and a description for students of the comprehension/decoding reading strategy. For your selection, I have included two different designs of the beanie posters. The strategies included are:
Crabby Connector (make connections);
Chunky Money (chunk the words)
Digger the Dog (determine the important information);
Eagle Eye (look at the pictures)
Fix Up Bear (Monitor Comprehension)
Flippy Dolphin (Flip the Sound)
Helpful Kangaroo (ask for help)
Iggy the Iguana (infer as you read)
Lips the Fish (Get your lips ready)
Jabber Reteller (synthesize and retell);
Questioning Owl (ask questions as you read)
Rocky Raccoon (visualize)
Skippy Frog (Skip It)
Stretchy Snake (Stretch it Out)
Tryin Lion (Try it Again)
