I use this slideshow to introduce the concept of polygons to my third grade class. This is a PDF version of my Power Point (to preserve the fonts and formatting). Open it in Adobe, go to "View", go to "Full Screen" and you can view the presentation using the enter key or the down arrow key to advance slides.
In this PowerPoint you'll find:
*Simple definition of polygons
*Examples and non-examples of polygons
*Pictures of triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, octagons and decagons
*Real-life pictures where students can find common polygons
My students love figuring out that a star is a decagon. It always makes their day!
Hope you find it useful!

Simply click it and you will be taken to a page where you can give a quick rating and leave a short comment for the product. I love reading your comments and value your feedback greatly as it helps me determine which products are most valuable for your classroom so I can create more for you!
