This learning packet and project is great for literature groups, pairs, whole class, or individually for differentiation. It focuses on targeted reading skills and novel specific vocabulary and application. It incorporates critical thinking skills such as inference, applying, comparing and contrasting, and connecting. The final project offers students a chance to explore animals, plants, food chains, and ecosystems. Students will demonstrate map skills by identifying ecosystems around the U.S. and the world.
