Create a system of rewards in your classroom without ever handing out candy! In lieu of demerits, consider an individual point system that promotes positive behavior and self-management of learning. This plan will give you lots of ways to reward children for doing the right thing, coming to school prepared and ready to work and so much more. The results are fabulous!
If you need a suggestion for a final fun trip, which is how I reward students who accumulate 500 individual points by June, then feel free to contact me. Last year's trip is still being talked about!
