Help your students understand scientific notation through their understanding of positive and negative exponents. I've used this worksheet to help illustrate the difference between the two and how to use fractions to help studnts comprehend how it all works. There are also two thinking questions after each section. My students thought it was so useful, they used it as a study guide.
