Does one slide show the question and the next show the answer?

Most of them are set up that way. Some have an answer, then also ask a related question, which is answered on the next slide. They all contain graphics (photos, maps) to help explain the answer or trigger thinking. A few give additional information on a topic. Does this help?

Are there any specific references to Virginia? I live in Oregon and wanted to know if this is appropriate for other states.

It is more National than VA. It has Statue of Liberty, Wash., Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, eagle, seal of the US, Mt. Rushmore, E Plurbus Unum, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Vietnam wall, flag, White House, Supreme Court and more. It also asks questions like "What branch of the government meets here?" for the Supreme Court. Hope this helps.
