Bring scripture alive with a choral reading from Revelation 7 & 11: Praise to God and celebration of Jesus our shepherd and the beginning of his reign. Two lead voices and periodic chorale response by the group/congregation. Daily practice increases reading fluidity, comprehension and pacing while aiding in the memorization of scripture. Pitch, tone, volume, rate, diction, enunciation, and proper oral interpretation are added benefits even if the piece is never performed for an audience.
As a co-operation builder, choral reading can be successful regardless of class size or grade level, and is useful for ESL students and in multi-grade classrooms. Shy or withdrawn students may feel less conspicuous or intimidated while those who like attention can find a positive outlet for their energies by taking a lead role.
